Yogurt has long been recognized as a fermented milk product that launched the process of digestion. And a recent study says yogurt can prevent gastritis and stomach ulcers.
Yogurt entered into the list of healthy foods because they a lot of calcium, protein and other nutrients such as probiotics needed for health.
A clinical study in Japan recently mentioned that yogurt may fight bacteria that cause stomach ulcers and gastritis or stomach ulcers, Helicobacter pylori is.
The research was conducted on 42 people who tested positive for H. Pylori. They were asked to consume two cups of plain yogurt or yogurt a day containing the urease antibody for four weeks.
The results showed an infection brought H. pylori in humans can be reduced by drinking yogurt plus antibody.

"Even though yogurt is not as effective as antibiotics for reducing levels of H. pylori, but this is much easier to get and eaten daily as part of a routine than taking drugs," he explained.
